I wanted to share a couple of ideas of some New Year's Resolutions that you could consider taking on for 2023 that are fertility focused.

New Year's Resolutions: Fertility Edition

Hey there! Happy almost New Year! I can’t believe this year is almost over. This was a big year for me. I launched this podcast which was a huge dream of mine. I’m grateful to all of you who are listening and who have been following along with me on my journey. I have big plans for 2023 and I can’t wait to grow this podcast even bigger. This time of year can be a tough time. If this is a tough time for you, just remember that whatever emotions are coming up, it’s ok. It’s normal to feel this way. Some of you may be entering 2023 praying, wishing, hoping, believing in the baby of 2023. Today I want to share some New Year’s resolutions that you could consider taking on for 2023, fertility edition.


1. Prioritize you on this journey.


So often I hear women who don’t feel like they can prioritize themselves on their journeys. I want to challenge you to prioritize yourself.


2. Enjoy the present moment while also working towards the future.


I see a lot of women fall into an all or nothing category. They’re either 100% focused on the future or the complete opposite. I want to offer you that you can choose to allow both. Be committed to the journey but also be present and enjoy the present.


3. Heal one relationship that has been damaged by this journey.


This journey has a lot of ways that I can impact a lot of things. One of those things that I realized early on is some of my friendships started to change throughout my journey. So, work on healing a relationship that may have been damaged by your journey.


4. Resume a hobby that you have paused.


It’s so common to put something on the back burner throughout your journey. Sometimes we will put it off and hold on because we may be pregnant soon so we wait and wait and wait to do that hobby. I want you to go ahead and resume that hobby and not skip over it. 


5. Check in with your emotions 52 times this year.


Check in once a week and see how you are feeling. Set a goal and see how you are feeling each week. If you need help with checking in with your emotions, go back to episode 2 and take a listen!


6. Choose to invest in your emotional wellness.


It’s so easy to live our lives on autopilot or just get through all of the things to juts get to the next step. And what happens is we realize months have passed us by and we don’t know where the time has went. Consider finding a way to invest in being intentional with your emotional wellness. This could look like listening to podcasts, talk to me about 1:1 coaching, whatever it is that you choose — make sure you are investing in your emotional wellness while on this path.


7. Approach life decisions through the lens of love.


It’s like the phrase, “rose colored glasses”, I want you to coming from the emotional experience of love. We have to make sure that with the decisions we are making that they are coming from a position of love.

8. Make things fun!


This process can be so exhausting and confusing and stressful. Find pockets of time where you can squeeze in some fun along the way.
